The Perfect Day

There are two types of people. People who wake up unmotivated by the stressful schedule of the day ahead, and people who wake up to make the best out of the day ahead for themselves regardless of external pressure. I try to fall into the second category but as a growing teen in such a society, its not that easy. Regardless, I’ve come to realize that the things that drained me earlier could be made fulfilling by keeping a healthy balance between working towards success and taking time to do things that give me joy.

So this is how my perfect day would be like. I would wake up at about 5-6 AM. That is because this is when sunrise occurs and the idea of waking up before the sun and watching it wake up after you is simply a very peaceful thought in my head – like the day hasn’t started yet so I can put my worries away and simply enjoy the moment. And besides, the sun starts to be annoying and burn you after a few hours so it’s best to get some sunlight as early as possible. I’d ride my bicycle to some open park and just chill while staring at the sunrise.

Another thing that would make my day even more perfect would be a good book. Being a morning person is sometimes tough and the only things that keep you going on with the day are coffee and books. Libraries are one of my favourite places in the world. Something about the calm yet whisper-loud atmosphere helps sooth me and make me feel peaceful and happy. Going to a library with some of your most favourite people will only make it much more meaningful.

A lot of us are often waiting for the perfect day to come give us a visit sometime soon but I have come to realize that this is not the case every time. Sometimes life can take a bad turn, or days can get a little rusty and uncertain and it becomes hard to believe that the good times will come back. But it really is in our hands. If you believe in it enough and put enough effort towards it, you might just make yourself the perfect day. It’s all about making yourself the perfect day rather than waiting for it to knock on your door.
